This post is all about the Christening of lovely baby Ava Elizabeth at Saint Mary the Virgin Church in Bermondsey, and afterwards at The Mayflower pub opposite the church.
The location couldn’t have been more steeped in history, with the area having a rich background and The Mayflower Pub dating back to 1620.
Ava Elizabeth had lots of family and Godparents who had travelled great distances, including Dubai, to be there for her Christening. It was a lovely, quiet ceremony, followed by lots of fun and laughter at The Mayflower, which used to be Mum Anna’s local pub. Ava Elizabeth didn’t much like having the holy water poured on her head, but once it was over she stopped crying and turned to give me a big grin which was priceless! It really was a privilege to be there to capture all the great moments, both big and small, and I really enjoyed the whole experience of documenting the moments in a fun, creative way.
Here’s a selection from a family in home portrait session from last summer, during the heatwave we had here in the UK. If you would like a portrait session in your home, I’ll come and capture your family as they hang out together doing all the stuff you usually do, giving me the opportunity to…
Cocoa Jones Christening and family Photography, London It was the Christening of one of our oldest friends’ baby this summer. Here are a few of the photographs from the ceremony and afterwards… The reason why I love documentary style photography is because it’s both unobtrusive and honest. It both records events as they happen without…

It was an intimate family affair, (we were all missing my husband who is away working on a movie in Canada) as they’re planning to have a church ceremony…
Hampstead family photographer, London A recent photography session on Hampstead Heath in London. I love to photograph families in a relaxed and natural way like this, creating portraits they’ll want to print large and frame on the wall. Both action shots and quiet momets make up the full story here, with a strong emphasis on…
Natural light portraits for families in London Hello! I hope you’re well? Here’s a small selection from a lovely little family portrait photography session from last year in between lockdowns. It was a delight to photograph this gorgeous baby boy and his parents in Greenwich park and also at home in their cosy cottage nearby….
Christening at St Paul’s Cathedral, family and children photographer London. Here are a few of my favourite photographs, telling the story of the Christening of Freddie at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The service was held in the OBE chapel and then a small reception was held afterwards at The Happenstance, which is a mere…
