This newborn baby photo shoot is so exciting to share! I adored working with this family on their maternity photos, and was so happy to be back a few weeks later to meet their scrumptious little baby boy.

No two baby photo shoots are the same with me…we just see what feel right on the day and let the baby lead the way, so that they are happy and content at all times. There’s no point going to a newborn shoot with a set agenda or poses…the only way to get natural shots like these is to document the natural beauty in front of the lens…and to try and capture these special days exactly as they are, as I know from experience that they tend to pass by in a blur.I also keep in mind that this little newborn baby I’m photographing will be old enough to become interested in these photographs themselves..and I want them to see just how much they were loved and celebrated by their parents. Obviously, I also know that this time of life  is really hard work, and parents can often feel a wide range of emotions, not just happiness. That’s why I always allow my newborn parents to change their date at a few hours notice…there’s no point having photographs taken if you’re in pain with mastitis or haven’t slept a wink!

If you would like to book a newborn session get in touch…you don’t need to book a firm date until  the baby has arrived…I always clear a space in the diary around the due date, and keep in close contact with the parents to be.
